Press release n. 12 of the 20/09/2018 11.36.20 ( download )

A dense programme of events and seminars, targeted specifically at the ceramic industry, is lined up for 26th Tecnargilla. The events will focus on technological research and innovation, sustainability, and technical and financial regulations, with top industry experts making contributions to the discussion.

.More than just business at Tecnargilla (Rimini 24-28 September) - education and information are also on the agenda. The exhibition´s organisers are rounding out the event with seminars and other events, covering a broad range of subjects focussed on the ceramic industry and its future directions.

The programme starts with the ACIMAC Annual Meeting, the traditional seminar organised by the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machinery and Equipment for Ceramics in collaboration with Ceramic World Review and Tecnargilla, this year in its X edition, entitled ´Ceramic 4.0: Big, digital and sustainable´. The seminar, which will be held in the morning of 25 September in the Sala Neri, will focus on the most recent advances in materials and technologies for the production of the ´ceramic of the future´: large sizes, decorated with Full Digital systems and produced in modern industry 4.0 factories. These recent technological developments will be presented and discussed by some of the industry´s most important companies: BMR, Colorobbia, Durst, Esmalglass-Itaca, LB, Sacmi, System and Torrecid. The seminar will be moderated by Prof. Paolo Zannini from the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.

The topic of the circular economy, at the centre of national and international environmental policy debates, could not go without discussion by the ceramic industry. The issue will be considered in depth on 26 September at the Sala Diotallevi, in a seminar entitled ´The ceramic industry: moving towards the circular economy´. Organised by the Società Ceramica Italiana (Italian Ceramic Society), in collaboration with Acimac and Tecnargilla, the event will review the salient points of a model based on the radical transformation of existing production systems in favour of a more ethical approach: low impact products and processes guided by values of social equality and respect for the local territory. The speakers will include Luisa Barbieri (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia); Michele Dondi (CNR-ISTEC and President, ICerS); Davide Settembre Blundo (Gresmalt) and Fernando E. García-Muiña (University of Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid); Andrea Conti (Confindustria Ceramica); Barbara Mazzanti (Centro Ceramico); Luca Zanchi (FEDABO), Andrea Morfino and Mirca Di Domenico (thinkstep).

The event will be followed, on 27 September, by two seminars on technical and financial issues: ´Exporting tile and ceramic machines in the world: Focus on Brazil (update to regulation NR 12 for machinery) and focus on Russia (Tile labelling requirements)´ and ´Operative updates on financing measures and instruments for research/innovation and the acquisition of equipment: European Calls, R&D Tax Credit, Hyper Amortization 4.0.´

The exhibition will be framed by the permanent events, starting with the Ceramic Age exhibit which gathers together the most recent textural and aesthetic trends in the ceramic industry: curated by the AzzoliniTinuper architecture studio, it showcases aggregated volumes, panels, sedimentations, interpenetrations and contrasting megalithic elements. The exhibition is included as usual as part of the macro event, ´Ceramic Workshop´, located at the entrance to Tecnargilla, which will also be hosting the 11 projects competing in the Tecnargilla Design Award (TDA) contest, an award set up to consecrate the most innovative technologies, applications and materials used in the ceramic industry.
