Rimini, 19 April 2024 . This year´s Tecna will once again be hosting the TecnAwards, one of the highlights of the exhibition of innovation and research in the surface technology industry due to be held in Rimini from 24 to 27 September. These awards are presented by Tecna exhibitors to honour outstanding investments in ceramic tile production lines.

Tecna exhibitors have always stood out for their commitment to research and innovation. Over the years, the ceramic industry has demonstrated a remarkable ability to make full use of the latest technological advances and transform them into a competitive lever.

In 2022, Tecna chose to celebrate this ability by launching the TecnAwards for outstanding technological investments made by international customers. Following the success of the first edition, the awards are back this year with a focus on the period 2022-2024.
The TecnAwards are one of the many initiatives that reinforce Tecna´s status as a leading trade fair in the sector and highlight its role as a bridge between machinery and equipment suppliers and ceramic manufacturers. The award ceremony, to be held in the afternoon of Wednesday 25 September in the Rimini Expo Centre, will be an important networking event bringing together industry players to celebrate excellence in the ceramic and brick industries.
Four awards will be assigned through the direct and exclusive involvement of exhibitors, who will be able to nominate their customers for various categories and select the winners. The other category winners will be selected by the organisers of Tecna, the magazine Ceramic World Review and Italian design firms.
Specifically, the exhibitors will select the winners of the following award categories: ´Best new plant´, which will go to the ceramic company that has built the best new production plant or modernised an existing installation; ´Innovation and sustainability´, which will celebrate companies that have demonstrated a clear commitment to process digitalisation and efficient data management while reducing the environmental impact of their production processes (one company from each of the following six regions will be selected for both of these awards: Europe, North and Central America, South America, Africa, the Middle East and Asia); ´Best brick manufacturer´, awarded to a brick and roof tile manufacturer that has excelled in recent years in terms of company growth and product and process innovation; and ´Best sanitaryware producer´, presented to a sanitaryware manufacturer that has excelled in recent years in terms of company growth and product and process innovation.
The TecnAwards represent a unique opportunity to celebrate innovation and dedication within the ceramic industry and mark the culmination of years of progress and research.
